Venture by Shahid is a department founded by Shahid Law Firm dedicated to help and support the startups’ ecosystem. This department consists of a young and dynamic team, who are passionate about the cause and are willing to create a difference in the legal world in respect to the startup scene.
Shahid Law Firm has been observing the startup scene and noticed that a startup does not receive much guidance from a legal perspective, due to several reasons; on the top of them is the startup’s inability to access top-tier professional legal firms due to cost constraints. In order to avoid the obstacles and challenges which a startup regularly faces, Shahid Law Firm took the initiative of creating Venture by Shahid under its umbrella as the firm strongly believes in promoting innovative ideas.
VISION
Venture by Shahid’s vision is to invest in the growth and development of a startup by providing the optimal legal guidance and tailored solutions which would contribute to the success story of a startup. Not only will, Venture by Shahid continue the journey with the startup, hand in hand; its main role will be to advise on what every startup must do to get investor ready.
MISSION
The mission of Venture by Shahid is to provide full business oriented legal services adequate to the bespoke needs of all start-ups to help them flourish their business using a cost-efficient model and advanced technology. Venture by Shahid will also connect the startups with lenders for possible funding of the startup’s business.
WHAT WE DO?
Venture by Shahid offers subscription packages to startups taking into consideration the projected equity invested in the project.
The legal services will mainly consist of providing pre and post incorporation services, drafting standard forms of the agreements essential for the business, including but not limited to, employment agreements, lease agreements and service agreements, and reviewing, drafting and negotiating first round financing and joint venture documents, which would entail concluding a term sheet, share subscription and shareholders agreement as well as funding documents of a startup in certain cases.
Tailored legal advice will also be provided with respect to corporate structures to determine which type of entity to be established based on its scope of envisioned business and advising on corporate governance rules to ensure that the startup is, at all times, in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations. Venture by Shahid will also assist with advising and obtaining special licenses, approvals and permits needed for a startup to conduct its activity in the best legal manner.
